I am writing to share my experience with Cheryl, who has taken great care of our family dog since September 2011. We had just brought our new yellow lab puppy Buckeye (B) home and were in need to someone we could trust who would be willing to walk our puppy every day and help her get acclimated to her new home. I found Cheryl after contacting several San Diego pet care individuals and companies. Cheryl was by far the most caring person I spoke to concerning Buckeye's needs, as well as running a licensed and insured business. We were excited to hear that Buckeye would fit into her daily schedule. The day of the pet consultation you can imagine our horror when soon after meeting Cheryl Buckeye fell sick and threw up everywhere! Cheryl was great with Killer! She demonstrated care and regard for both my home and my pet, which are both important considerations when hiring a sitter. She checked in with me daily and I like that she offers a variety of ways to communicate, texting being my preference. Several years ago we became acquainted with Pet Sitter San Diego and with Cheryl when we needed someone to look after our cats while we were away. We had used a pet hotel prior but our animals hated it and became very ill. We were informed, in no uncertain terms, not to bring them back to the hotel – which, along the vet bills from the experience, we did not need to be told.
Pet Sitter San Diego to the rescue. Reliable, helpful (will deal with mail, newspapers, watering plants), honest and trustworthy. A highlight are the written daily reports where the odd behavior of our cat is faithfully documented.

When Cheryl first cared for our two dogs, Rosie and Scout, they were well passed middle age, and Rosie was recovering from serious illness. Cheryl came to the house several times a day to feed and walk them, but also to give Rosie her medications and to play vigorously with Scout. She kept a daily doggie journal that documented what took place with each visit. Cheryl is a detail-oriented, responsible, trustworthy and loving caregiver.
